A Busy October

October was an eventful month for me as an artist. The first weekend of the month I participated for the second time in 6X6NW hosted by the Shoreline Lake Forest Park Arts Council. Sales of the 6x6 inch art at this event help fund their many art programs in the community. I participated last year on a whim and sold the two paintings I submitted. It was my first show and it opened the door just enough for me to want to do more with my art. This year I submitted all 10 pieces and sold 5.

The second weekend of October I participated in the Arts North Studio Tour. It was very hands on as I planned out my wall arrangement, packed up all of my paintings, and very carefully hung each piece. I felt both nervous and proud as I watched many visitors view and comment on my paintings. I was honored to be a guest artist in the studio of a wonderful artist and I made a new friend of her and my fellow guest artist as well. I sold 3 pieces during the tour.

My favorite part is that my 2-year old now asks regularly if we are going to the art show. A mom artist's dream come true!

The unsold works from these events are available and on view in my gallery home page. Look for those with an active price listed and send me an email if interested in purchasing. I hope you are having a wonderful fall doing the things you love!
